An imprint and a privacy policy are mandatory in Germany — and they go stale faster than you'd think. The legal texts module pulls both from e-recht24, publishes them on your client's website and keeps them up to date automatically whenever the legal situation changes.
How it works
- Request: In the customer detail view under "Legal texts" you fill in the business details — legal form, name, address, contact, optionally VAT ID. For companies (GmbH, GbR, UG …) the form asks for the company name including legal form and the authorised representatives instead. Special cases (commercial register, chamber, supervisory authority) go into the free-text field.
- Automatic setup: With complete details Pagoras creates the e-recht24 project automatically — imprint and privacy policy are usually live within minutes. Special cases are set up by hand (up to 48 hours); you can see the status in the tab at any time.
- Automatically up to date: Once connected, the imprint (
/impressum) and privacy policy (/datenschutz) appear on the website. When e-recht24 updates the texts — for instance due to new case law — the pages update automatically without you lifting a finger.
Changing details later
New legal form, new address, different phone number? The legal-texts tab of a connected website shows the "Business details" block with the stored data. Edit the fields and click "Update details" — Pagoras refills the e-recht24 questionnaires and republishes the imprint and privacy policy right away.
Linking on the website
The pages live at /impressum and /datenschutz. The easiest way to add them to the footer menu is via the assistant: "Link imprint and privacy policy in the footer." Use "Synchronise now" to re-fetch the texts manually at any time.
Good to know
- The texts come from e-recht24's lawyer-maintained generator and are created per project for your client's business.
- Terms & conditions and cancellation policies are not part of the module.
- For questions about individual details (e.g. the supervisory authority) a quick check with your client is worth it — they provide the mandatory details, we handle the technology.
Legal check
Once a week the e-recht24 website scanner automatically checks every connected website: are all embedded services covered by the privacy policy? Is a consent tool required? Are imprint and privacy policy reachable, and what about hosting location and SSL? You see the result in the customer's legal texts tab — "Check now" runs it immediately. Problems additionally trigger a notification.
The form also shows the list of services for the privacy policy as checkboxes — grouped into general (incl. data protection officer with contact details, cookies, job applications), technology, forms, analytics, embedded content, social media profiles, video conferencing, cookie consent and payment services. The data controller is filled in automatically from the business details; participation in consumer dispute resolution is selected directly in the imprint section. Whatever Pagoras detects from hosting, booked modules and the latest quality check (e.g. Google Fonts, Google Maps, newsletter) is pre-selected and marked "detected automatically"; you can adjust every selection before submitting. The complete e-recht24 questionnaire is always shown: all 477 privacy fields (incl. data processing agreements per service) and every imprint field such as commercial register, insurance, professional law and supervisory authority — just like at e-recht24, but inside the cockpit. Sub-fields appear as soon as the related service is ticked.
